Child / Adult Program
A picture chat linked to the term theme is available for each family to take home.
The picture chat is kept at home. Each week a small picture linked to the theme focus is available in the centre foyer for you to take home. Depending on your child's stage of development, you or your child can find the correct place to stick the small picture on the picture chat.
Use the picture chat as a way to spark revision of the language and learning your child experienced at Lively Learning. Your little one can also use the picture chat as a stimulus to tell dad or another family member all about what they did at Lively Learning.
On the other side of the picture chat, words are written to the rhymes learnt in the term. Enjoy having a sing-a-long with your child at home and help your child develop important skills along the way as indicated below:
"The relationships between nursery rhyme experiences, knowledge, and awareness and both phonological and print-related skills were examined in 12 studies of 5,299 preschoolers. The findings provide support for a relationship between young children’s nursery rhyme abilities and their phonological and print-related skills, including emergent reading.
